Decolonial Aesthetics

In this module we intend to create awareness on how colonial aesthetics affects our everyday life, putting into practice a conscience decolonial process to identify fictional premises of beauty and representations; exposing how the idea of the “eye” (sight/vision) as a hierarchical sense provides the information of what we perceive as “reality” in a genocidal world.

From advertising to “art” and music in a racialized matrix, our motivation is to create multiple dialogues and search for liberating acts throughout our bodies, understanding each sense as a fundamental key from local to global revolution.
